Cancelling Time

Time has been messy. Physics came to a standstill as it struggled to explain time. It simply did not fit with the theories. Human perception of unidirectional time may have interfered with their thinking. Perhaps time simply does not exist (1).

Removing time from contemporary theories will solve a lot of issues. Then, there will be only space and GUTs can have a field day. For many, space-time has been a difficult concept to internalize. If time is just a perception of humans, then, there are many interesting questions. Do other biological entities other than humans perceive time? Is time a measure of where in space a biological entity is? Is time a crutch for humans to perceive movements in space? Is time simply an abstract measurement but not fundamental?

It appears intuitive. Cancelling time will make many quantum effects, entanglement and superposition included, natural. It may also provide further fodder to the idea that our universe is a black hole. Inside a black hole, time stops and if we do not have time, then it appears analogous.

Time is certainly counterintuitive and if it exists, that will require a lot of explanations. It is unlikely. Could Einstein be wrong?
