Integrating the differentiation

Then there were 8 billion, after half a million years of roaming around the planet and digging the graves for 100 billion. Only surface features remained, and just a few samples ever attempted to climb out of the intellectual hole. Newton, Einstein and a few dozen others tried to give humanity an escape route, but it was too late. Differentiation was in full swing, religion, countries, color, gender and body proportions. Integration was not possible, or is it?

As the planet splits apart, with the human killing another, as those who forget the limited life horizons try to increase wealth, grab property rights, steal and pillage, it is increasingly clear that integration is not possible. The irony is high as the accumulated materials are left behind without options and the sorrow of those who remain alive, appears infinite. As they depart one after the other, just like clockwork, running after something they could never get to, it appears a waste of space and time.

There have been a few momentary lapses of reason — music, philosophy, art — but logical humans always drifted away from such pleasure and more importantly science and technology disallowed them. Arrival of occasional geniuses have had a significant influence on the advancement of thought. Unfortunately, there has been a lean patch of over a century, with no significant breakthrough as the world descended into incrementalism and materialism.

Is integration possible? I doubt it.
