Is there anybody out there? NO (v2)

From their inception, humans have been looking for alien beings. Some call them Gods and others Extra-terrestrials. Unfortunately, there has been no evidence of either, thus far. Some in the space agency got a bit more excited a decade ago and drew a line on the sand that they would find them by 2020. Unfortunately, all they found was COVID.

Humans are funny animals with great imagination. Over half of the current 8 billion samples believe in their Gods and majority of the remaining think extra-terrestrials are a done deal. Many of these “atheists,” use statistical testing as if it is Mathematics, but no statistics will support either. We have found no God and no life outside a single instance on Earth. As such any hypothesis to the existence of either is mere fantasy and not scientific.

The Chemistry of Biology appears messy. The observable instance of life requires so many conditions for its emergence that the probability of a repeat is virtually zero. This can be supported statistically by the observation that we do not see new life emerging given favorable conditions within Earth. Thus the observed instance of life appears to be a random fluke and likely will be eliminated within a short period of time. After that, nobody in the mechanical universe will have to worry about life.

Is there anybody out there? Emphatically, No. The space agency may be advised to allocate tax-payer money better than chasing fancy dreams. And clearly, they should have learned by now that assigning a timeline for discoveries is injurious to their reputation.
