Mentally ill Politicians

Do politicians and people’s representatives including judges go through regular mental health check? If so, it looks like a large percentage of them (and their spouses) will fail miserably. Many prominent ones emerge from Georgia, Arizona, New York, Alaska, Wisconsin and the famous Florida. A mentally ill lawmaker or judge is a curse to society and humanity at large.

Mental health, presumably, is important for those who affect somebody else’s life. These include doctors, lawyers and consultants. Scientists and engineers may be exempt as their zone of influence is limited and they could not impart significant damage to the population at large.

Most contemporary politicians will fail basic tests of knowledge, let alone psychiatric tests. The most famous one, down in Florida, is classical. He appears to be suffering from most known mental diseases and not likely medicated, unless drugs are fed to him through hamburgers. This is not unique to the US. In Italy, they have elected Ms. Mussolini, somebody who is mentally deranged. In the South, they continue to prop-up a religious nut who believes his religion is superior to anybody else’s. And there are a couple suffering from the best identified disease, communism. The pride of KGB coupled with the quiet killer to the South is a real case study in mental health.

Before one takes office, take a mental health test, just like the one given to nuclear plant operators and pilots. If you don’t pass, stay home.
